Hi Malka, I agree it would be cool for the Bailey School Kids to be made into a TV show!!  Taft, I think it's cool that you are writing this summer.  You might want to check out my writing page for tips, podcasts, and even a silly movie!  Just keep Doylestown bookshopscrolling down for more stuff.  Do you think we should write more Bailey School Kids books?
I got to meet some great kids yesterday at the Doylestown Bookshop.  My next booksigning will be on Sept. 10th at the Princeton Children's Book Festival.  Hope to see you there!  Enjoy the summer!  Debbie

Hey Heather, I hope you're having a happy summer.  It's coolCool that you enjoyed Santa Dog, one of the Barkley School for Dogs books.  I think he's really Santa's, Santa Dog book coverdon't you?  By the way, I'm more than half-way finished with my summer list.  How are you doing?  Every summer I make up a list of at least ten things I want to make sure to do.  So far I've gone on a bike ride, played the piano every day, finished a book, read five books, and written a letter to someone who didn't expect it.  Do something fun today!  ttyl, Debbie

Hi Raheel, I think it's cool that you are trying to write stories this summer.  Me too!  You say you have trouble writing after a few sentences, but have great ideas.  There are some things you can try-if it's trouble with the actual putting it all down on paper part ask your mom to write it for you or use a tape recorder (or the recorder on your computer) to get it all down.  If it's trying to figure out what to do with all those great ideas, check out the Story Elements Chart on my writing page.  A lot of people think you just start writing a story without planning it, but if you take to time to plan your story first it will help you not only finish your story, but have a great story!   Let me know you it's going.  Good luck, Debbie
