Grace, the great white sharks mistake people for their food, so that's why no one should swim in the ocean in the early morning and early evening when sharks like to eat. Hi Jaida, Ashwin, and Tori. So glad you are enjoying the Bailey School Kids books. Noah, I was born in Morganfield, KY and grew up in Henderson, KY. I was a cheerleader in Debbie in ski show elementary school and junior high. I also was on a junior high basketball team. I worked at McDonald's during high school to buy my first car, a blue Gremlin. You can see my school pictures in my photo album. Good luck with your report.
Joey, I'm glad you enjoyed Mermaids Don't Run Track. Liza doesn't want to jump in because she doesn't swim well. I think the seashell comb does have a connection to the mermaid world, don't you? If you like mermaids, you might like to check out my new series, Mermaid Tales.
Jonathan, I have written 151 books that have been published. Tarshi, it was wet and weird and I waited a very long time before I tried it again! Kate, I have published most of my books with Scholastic, but my newest series is with Simon and Schuster. Anyone can write a book and it takes different amounts of time to write different books. One book took me eight years! You can get ideas from anywhere, even from people you meet or places you go. The beach helped inspire my newest series.
