Hi Jaida, Ashwin, and Tori. So glad you are enjoying the Bailey School Kids books. Noah, I was born in Morganfield, KY and grew up in Henderson, KY. I was a cheerleader in Debbie in ski show elementary school and junior high. I also was on a junior high basketball team. I worked at McDonald's during high school to buy my first car, a blue Gremlin. You can see my school pictures in my photo album. Good luck with your report.
Joey, I'm glad you enjoyed Mermaids Don't Run Track. Liza doesn't want to jump in because she doesn't swim well. I think the seashell comb does have a connection to the mermaid world, don't you? If you like mermaids, you might like to check out my new series, Mermaid Tales.
Jonathan, I have written 151 books that have been published. Tarshi, it was wet and weird and I waited a very long time before I tried it again! Kate, I have published most of my books with Scholastic, but my newest series is with Simon and Schuster. Anyone can write a book and it takes different amounts of time to write different books. One book took me eight years! You can get ideas from anywhere, even from people you meet or places you go. The beach helped inspire my newest series. Christina, I won't actually be at Meadows Elementary in Fort Hood. I will be there electronically on a screen using SKYPE. That's something your school might like to do too. Emma, I never thought I could be published either. But it happened and it could for you too! You never know what life has in store for you around the corner. Maddie, it was nice visiting your school. Maggie, I hope you enjoy the Bride of Frankenstein Doesn't Bake Cookies. Every time I think of that book, I get hungry! Tarshi, I'm ready to visit any time. Have a great weekend. Hey Madelyn, you rock too! Abdullah, I have over 150 books. Which one did you mean? Alexander, I have lots of favorites. For this time of year Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp is definitely one of them. Do you have a favorite? Emma, the neat thing about writing is that anyone can do it. You could write the story too. I do like dog books. I wrote a series called Barkley School for Dogs. Maarkara and Noah, it's cool that you are writing a story based on the Keyholders. I had fun writing them with my friend Marcia. JoJo, it was nice to meet you at the Southern KY Book Fest. Ellie, your dog idea is great! Zanna, when I was little vampires were the scariest monster to me-I Debbie and Big Red think that's why Mrs. Jeepers is a vampire. I hope you like Hercules Doesn't Pull Teeth.
Syndey, I enjoyed visiting your school and loved the doors you guys decorated! I'll put them on my event page later today. Hi Tarshi. Katherine, my children have the same last name as me. Addy, I have gotten inspiration from lots of places, including Kids Talk. Christina, I think Lady Gaga was just being silly like Eddie. I'm glad you like my new Mermaid Tales webpages. My daughter and I have been working on a new series. Hope it works out.
