I splashed in the ocean today! I can't believe I can drive to the ocean after lunch, swim, play in the sand, and still be home before supper. How cool is that?

Brenton from Australia, good to hear from you! I'm so glad you're continuing to write. Congratulations on your success. The BSK books are about 40 pages long, double spaced, 14 point Times New Roman text. It took 2 years to write Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips, but Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots only took two weeks! A big hello to Gloria, hope you're having a great summer. I've been working on a story about some kids who feel like no one sees them, like they don't even exist. Do any of you guys ever feel like that?

Georgina, I'm glad you like the Ghostville Elementary series. It was fun to write (and a little creepy).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARCIA THORNTON JONES, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! Hope Marcia has a great birthday this week and many more to come. Marcia has been the best writing partner anyone could ever hope for. Even though we live in different states we continue to write stories together. She always surprises me with the fun stuff she puts into stories. Want to know how we write together? Cool, cool, cool and I'm not talking about the weather. The Bailey School Kids are coming to the big stage. The first date will be in Manhattan at 10:30 at the Town Hall. The second is the next day in Hempstead at the Adams Playshouse (Hofstra University) at 10:30. Other New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylania shows are listed HERE.

Caroline, I've asked if it will be touring other parts of the country this year, but I haven't heard back yet. If you want it to come to your city, get your parents to email pdwyer@twusa.org to ask Patrick. I plan to attend as many performances as possible, so maybe I'll see you there!

Sarah, I do love horses. That's why I enjoyed writing Ghosts Don't Ride Wild Horses and Unicorns Don't Give Sleigh Rides. Your idea was funny!
