Dear Ella, I think it would be cool to make a blanket this year. When you are old and gray you can tell people you started it the year of the pandemic! My mother gave me a quilt that was made by one of my ancestors before the Civil War. Here are pictures of my other quilts. Stay safe and well, Debbie

Dear Ella, I never learned how to knit, but I can sew. My grandmother, Lillie Bailey, was an amazing seamstress. She made all my clothes growing up and even sewed Barbie doll clothes for me. The Bailey School Kids series is named after her. She was a very special lady. I hope you enjoy making things! Best, Debbie

Dear Princess Kayla, Thanks for your suggestion for MerStyle Magazine #7. Hope your in-person school is going well and that they require masks. 
     Ella, your Thanksgiving dinner sounds yummy. Mine will be small this year, just my husband and me. We'll have turkey and gravy, mashed cauliflower, and my husband's favorite: green bean casserole. Hope you have a lovely and safe holiday. I will be away from my writing desk until Wednesday.
