Author Visits & Presentation

Debbie loves to visit schools, libraries, and other organizations to talk about her
books, literacy, and the writing process.  Debbie lives in Bucks County, PA. 

APPEARANCE & PRESENTATION FEES FOR SCHOOL VISITS: Debbie visiting a school.

$1,800/day, plus all expenses for travel and accommodations.
(Visits over 100 miles from Furlong, PA, may require overnight lodging)

Schools and libraries can order books by calling Scholastic Customer Service at 800/724-6527 and choosing "3" from both automated menus. They need to let the rep know they want to order books using the 40% Author Visit Discount.

If the rep doesn't sound familiar with this, they should verify that they are speaking to someone in the Catalog division. The Catalog reps are the ones who handle the author visit orders. Shipping costs are waived, and the school can return any books they do not sell. However, they will need to pay for the shipping on those boxes.

You may want to order a selection for students to choose from or let them select on an order form. A non-fuss way is to invite a local bookseller to do the work for you.

1:00 – 1:30 Sign books for 3rd grade
1:45 – 2:30 2nd and 3rd grade session
