Hey Suzy, here's a bit more about how we came to write Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots. Marcia and I were sitting in my library office trying to decide how Mrs. Jeepers should look when a foreign language teacher walked in. Marcia and I looked at each other and smiled. We modeled Mrs. Jeepers after that teacher (although I'm pretty sure that teacher isn't a vampire)! Best, Debbie

Thanks for your kind words Suzy. I have two pets, Carmen and Shadow. Right now I have no plans to write more Bailey School Kids books with Marcia or to add to Bridget's blog for The Worst Name in Third Grade, but I never know for sure what the future holds. Dear Suzy, Congratulations on your play! I'm so glad it Whistler's Hollow went well and you'll have fun memories. I never had the opportunity to be in a play until high school. Then it didn't even occur to me to try. I wish I had!
My favorite color is blue. All my schooling from elementary to college was in Kentucky. My fourth grade teacher reading aloud is my favorite school memory. My favorite Disney princess is Cinderella. Who is yours?
One of my favorite books that I wrote is Whistler's Hollow. It took me eight years to write it and something that happened to my grandmother gave me the idea. Hope you have a blessed day. It is always good to hear from you, Debbie

Dear Sue, Marcia and I used to live in the same town and we even worked at the same school for a while. The Lost Princess Now, we live about four hours away.
Suzy, the Mermaid Tales are in English and Chinese. The Bailey School Kids are in English, French, and Portugese. I love to read and that led me to want to write my own stories. An editor actually asked me to write about mermaids. The webmaster for my site is Fred's Used Websites. I think when things go wrong sometimes the best thing is to have a sense of humor about it. I actually did write a story about cyber-bullying, but it was never published. My favorite Disney movie is the 2015 Cinderella with Lily James. (Maybe that's what made me want to write about a princess!) What's your favorite? Good luck tonight! I will be thinking about you and hoping everyone has a fabulous time! Best, Debbie
