Dear Abby, I'm so glad you like my books. Elias, I was happy to send you some of the magazines. There were some neat things when we had the Bailey School Kids club. I'd love to have it again! Hope you enjoy Knights Don't Teach Piano (did you know that I play the piano and some of my ancestors were knights?).

Dear Shequauna, Your idea sounds fun. I brainstormed and came up with: Santa, Mrs. Claus, snow, toys, leather, needle and thread, sewing, short, pointy-toed shoes, and Christmas. You might like to read Elves Don't Wear Hard Hats for some more elf ideas. Good luck! Best, Debbie

Hi Ky, your book sounds like great fun. You might be surprised that you have a very common problem. A lot of people are very excited about a story and start before they think about what will happen first, second, and last. I'd like you to consider planning what you want to happen in your story before you start writing it. One crazy idea that might be helpful for you is to write your ending first! You can always change the ending if you doesn't match the story after you've written the rest of it. You might like to look at my writing page and my silly video.
