Dear Friends, If you like the Bailey School Kids, ask your adult if you can join tonight's FREE Zoom meeting. At 7:00 ET tonight, for the first time the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning will bring Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots graphic novel together Marcia Thornton Jones (co-author), myself, Pearl Low (Oscar award winning graphic artist of 1st the first Bailey School Kids graphic novel, along with special guests like John Steven Gurney (originial Illustrator) and our graphic novel Graphix Books editor (a division of Scholastic). Dear Geetika, I'm so glad The Crook and the Crown is your favorite Mermaid Tales book. I do like mysteries! My newest Mermaid Tales book is a bit of a mystery as well. After all, what is the mysterious thing hiding in the dark at Shelly's sleepover? OOh, hope that's not too scary!
I have lots of favorite books, including The Polar Bear Express and my newest, the Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots graphic novel. Have a super awesome, fin-tastic week! Your friend, Debbie

Dear Geetika, When I was growing up movies were rather rare. Once a year our TV station would air Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz. Cinderella was my favorite because the flying monkeys and the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz always scared me. I still like Cinderella movies, but that Oscar and Hammerstein one has always been my favorite! Here's one song I like from it. What's your favorite? Your friend, Debbie
