Hi Ashwin, I love reading too. Right now I am reading More Short and Shivery by Robert C. San Souci. I just read a scary part about a woman ghost. I think the favorite ghost story that I wrote would have to be Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips. I like how Rick Riordan used Greek gods in his stories. Have a great fourth of July, Debbie

Hi Christina, it's great to hear from you. You have been busy! I hope you've had some good books to read with all your moving around. My birthday is May 18th.
Lacie, all my characters are my favorites! I suppose Eddie is my favorite Bailey School Kid if I have to pick one and Shelly is my favorite from Mermaid Tales. I'm actually writing about Shelly now. It turns out she might be a princess! Sorry your friend is away, but maybe you can write her a letter. Wow, I can't believe you had a teacher like Mrs. Jeepers. That's scary!! Lacie, you are not too old to do something you enjoy. I like reading kid's books and I'm a lot older than you! The inspiration for the Bailey School Kids books came from a bad day of teaching. The kids were goofing off a bit at our school and my friend, Marcia Jones, and I joked to ourselves that if we were monster teachers the kids would behave. That's how we came up with the idea of Mrs. Jeepers! Have a great summer, Debbie

Hi Whitley, I totally agree. There are so many amazing creatures in the ocean. Right now, I'm writing about the vampire squid. It glows in the dark! Ashwin, Honolulu sounds very fun! Did you eat poi? Hope you have a great time at theatre camp. Are you putting on a play? The first story I wrote with my oldest son Nathan was called Slime Wars and I definitely had to talk him into it! Guess what? My youngest son and I are starting on a scary story!
