Nyha, the idea for Angels Don't Know Karate came from taking karate lessons. The place where I took them stressed respect for oneself and others. Why do I write about mythical characters alot? For one thing, it's great fun and I find it interesting learning about what people used to believe. It makes me wonder if some of the things we think are true today will sound silly to people 200 years from now. Who knows? Kara, I have had a great time writing 10 different series, including Mermaid Tales that comes on in May. Have a great Thanksgiving, Debbie

I just met some amazing kids in Bethlehem, Pa. in the last few days. Asa Packer and Lehigh Valley Academy Elementary Schools rock!
Xavier and Nyha, you guys have amazing imaginations! I think you should try writing stories yourself! Nyha, the book you are asking about is Whistler's Hollow and your library has a copy. Christian, it's awesome that you are writing a novel. I hope you'll click here to go to my writing page which has lots of writing advice. I do like the Harry Potter books, the Twilight books, and the Hunger Games books. I have read them all.
Christina, I love Christmas songs and play them on my piano. Juliana, when I was growing up I wanted to be a teacher and then president! Alyssa, I'm so happy you like my books. Wow, happy birthday to my mom on 11/11/11! If you have your 11th birthday today that must be super special.
Carly, I hope you're loving Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots. A big shout out to Sam who enjoyed it.
Christina, my website program has some smiley faces to choose from, which is fun. Yes, I've been to Austin as I used to live in Plano, TX. I don't have my Christmas tree up yet! We will probably put one up over Thanksgiving vacation because my two oldest children will be home from college. I'm looking forward to seeing them! Christmas is very special to me because I believe in the real reason we celebrate it-Jesus' birth.
