Anna, I'm so glad you like the Bailey School Kids books. Brandon, I had great fun writing them and I am married to a very smart scientist named Eric. Chloe, I have three wonderful children. In fact, I wrote two stories with my son Nathan, Slime Wars and Slime Time. I'm glad you like Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.

A big thank you to Mrs. Cope's class for making me their featured author this month. You might want to check out my printable bulletin board. Joan, I can tell you now what my new series is about because it's up on the Simon and Schuster website for pre-orders. The new series is called Mermaid Tales. It's about 4 mermaids and 1 merboy and their adventures under the ocean in a school called Trident Academy.

I am very excited about it because it's been so much fun to write. It's also been extremely interesting learning about different creatures under the sea. In the first book, the kids study about shrimp and krill and in the third book they study about humpback whales. They even get to ride a humpback. I interviewed my nephew about humpbacks because he actually swam with humpback whales!

Gricell, it takes different amounts of time to write a book. The shortest, for me, was 1 week for Dracula Doesn't Rock and Roll. The longest time, for me, was 8 years for a Dracula book book called Cherokee Sister. I did a lot of research and I rewrote it many times. Harrison, I have so many favorite Bailey School Kids books! One of my favorites is Skeletons Don't Play Tubas. Molly, all I have to do it look around for ideas for characters. Brandon, there has been some talk of the Bailey School Kids being on TV, but it hasn't happened yet. ttyl, Debbie

Hey Christina, sorry you aren't feeling well. Everyone's allergies are acting up here too. My youngest son and I've been sniffling for days. I hope your throat feels better soon. I do like my dentist, although a dental visit is not my favorite thing to do! Luckily, she's not Hercules!

I just went to a movie called The Help. It was really good. I also like The Blind Side and Wild Hogs. What's your favorite? Feel better, Debbie

Hey Sophia, I'm so glad you like the Bailey School Kids books. Do you have a favorite? I have lots, but one is Ghouls Don't Scoop Ice Cream. I love the chapter called Super Eddie.
Christina, I didn't hear about the Batstrop fire. I hope everyone was all right. I'm not sure if we'll write any more Bailey School Kids books. Right now I'm writing a new series that comes out next summer. ttyl, Debbie

Hey Lindsey, I'm glad you like Goblins Don't Play Video Games. I got the idea from my kids. Your teacher sounds very nice. Did you know I used to get in trouble all the time in school for talking too much! I'm much better now, although my youngest son still thinks I talk too much! ttyl, Debbie
