Are you ready for some football? It is, after all, almost time for the Super Bowl. I'm torn. I've always like the Packers, but I live in PA. so I feel I should support the Steelers. Katherine, I hope you'll like Bogeymen Don't Play Football. It is hard to choose between Werewolves Don't Go to Summer Camp and Aliens Don't Wear Braces, but I have to pick Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp as it is one of my favorites.
Becca, I hope it works out that I can visit your school. Gabe, you rock! David B., please tell your son "HI" from me. Unfortunately the Keyholder publisher is still undecided about whether there will be more in the series. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you feel strongly enough, feel free to write Tor-More Keyholders/S. Chang at 175 Fifth Avenue NY, NY 10010. Meanwhile, I hope your son will like to try out one of my other books. Kenzie, I am having great fun writing a new series for Simon and Schuster that will come out next year. Beca, I'm glad you are liking Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips. It took us two years to write that book! You sound like an amazing reader. Bela, I haven't received a story from you, but you might like to check out the magazines listed at the bottom of my writing page. They all publish stories written by kids. Marcus, Katie, and Grace-your idea was great. You should write the story and send it to one of those magazines. Stay warm, Debbie

Hi to you, Sally. I will tell Marcia you said hello. Helen, I'll let you know here if I show up in the movie. I really hope my daughter does. She was standing right beside the stars in one scene! Becca, I have lots of favorites. This weekend since we're planning on going skiing, my favorite is Giants Don't Go Snowboarding. I don't snowboard, but my kids do. They are pretty good. I ski, but not very well. In 2012, I will do a book tour. This year I will be visiting schools. Maybe your librarian could invite me to yours. I'm sure you understand that I have to have an adult invite me. She can contact me. Kenzie, my mom said I was a little bit like Eddie when I was growing up! ttyl, Debbie

Hey Beca, I'm so glad you enjoy the Bailey School Kids books. There are 51 numbered Bailey School Kids books and a lot of super specials and holiday specials and even a joke book. I think gargoyles are very interesting and I actually did a lot of research about them. I live in PA. too, so I hope to meet you someday. It's back to school today for my kids, I bet you are back too. Have fun, Debbie
