Snow Monsters Do Drink Hot ChocolateHoley moley!  What a morning!  I had to tromp through waist high snow to get to my backyard gate.  I couldn't open it because there was so much snow,  but the snow was so high I stepped over my five foot tall fence!  All that was just so I could shovel around my back door so my dogs could get outside to do their business!  Helen, I bet you are having some snow adventures too.
Hannah, thanks for your great title idea.  Somehow your letter didn't get posted until now.  Sorry about that.  Gabriela, my first book came out in 1990.  Yes, I am writing a new book and I'm having quite a bit of fun with it!  ttyl, Debbie

Helen, thanks for the awesome idea.  Did you know my snowmandaughter and I were extras in an upcoming movie?  It's about The Grateful Dead and we were in a crowd scene.  We can't wait until the movie comes out to see if we show up on film.
Right now, it's hard for me to think of anything except snow.  It's like a blizzard outside and we're supposed to get at least eight inches.  I feel like I live in Alaska instead of PA!  I bet my kids won't have school tomorrow.  Is it snowing where you live?  ttyl, Debbie

Snow Helen, what do you think we should name Bailey School Kids #52 if we get to write it?  Alex, as I recall there are six guest rooms at Hauntly Manor.  Five can hold two people and one is a suite that holds three.  Stay warm, Debbie Dadey

Dragons Don't Throw SnowballsBrrr, it's four degrees outside!  And that my friends, is very cold!!  Kellie, Dragons Don't Throw Snowballs is #51 of the Bailey School Kids books.  It's a fun book for cold weather.  Kylee and Tona, I am making a brand new series that will come out next year.
Cody and Rachel, I am so glad you enjoyed The Keyholders books.  Marcia Jones and I would love to write more.  Unfortunately, my publisher hasn't decided if they want more.  If you'd like to encourage them to make book #5 you can let Inside the Magicthem know.  You can write to S. Chang at Tor Books 175 Fifth Ave.  NY, NY 10010.  Marcia and I had planned to make the next four books about rescuing Dracula's two dragon sisters.  ttyl, Debbie

Check out this story my friend just published: From Linda's bookIndian teepees to buffalo hunts, the art of Cowboy Charlie is a journey to the Wild West. When historians and researchers want to know what the American West looked like, they turn to his art. As teacher, Ellen Javernick said, “Learning history was never so much fun."
Ally, I do like Disney World and sometimes I liked school.  I always liked history class especially.  I have seen silly bands.  My kids have some.  Alex, there's not quite 13 rooms because some rooms have more than one bed.  Monsters don't mind sharing.
Camilla, have you looked at my Keyholder series?  It is harder than the Bailey School Kids books.  Whistler's Hollow and Cherokee Sister are harder novels if your library happens to have a copy.
mermaids     Honesty, thanks for your kind words.  I hope you like Mermaids Don't Run Track.  When I'm not writing, I like to play tennis, play with my dogs, help my kids with their school work (I just made a dress for my daughter's play and quizzed my son for his science test-I hope he did okay!).  I also volunteer at a children's home and a historic home near where I live.  Whew, just thinking about all that made me tired!  ttyl, Debbie
