Dear Holly, I am looking forward to visiting your school. My grandmother, Lillie Bailey, always kept a diary. I though that was pretty neat and I think she was part of my inspiration for wanting to write stories. Just think a hundred years from now someone can read the thoughts she had just by reading her diary. Please tell your class I said hello!
Umaiza, I have lots of favorite books, including The Polar Bear Express. It has poetry in it and this is Poetry Month. What about you? Have an amazing day, Debbie

Dear Umaiza, thanks for telling me the three reasons why I am your favorite author. You made me feel great!
Grace Marie, I am happy you like the Mermaid Tales books. My favorite part of The Crook and the Crown was when they visited the whirlpool on the sea horses. Did you have a favorite part? My daughter and I think it is fun to believe in mermaids, but my sons don't! Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Joshua, You are an awesome reader and thanks for telling your brother about the Bailey School Kids books. Please tell him I said hello. Did you know that Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips was the hardest BSK to write? It took us two years to write it!
