Elias, you are awesome!  The Bailey School Kids series is not officially over, but we're not currently writing any books for the series and none are planned.  But you never know!  I'd love to write another one.  If you've read all the Bailey School Kids numbered books and the specials, you might like to try our spin-offs, Bailey City Monsters and Bailey School Kids Junior Chapter books.  I'd love to hear from you by mail.  You can write to me at Scholastic 557 Broadway NY, NY 10012 or you may still have my home address from the newsletters I sent you.  Take care, Debbie

Dear Abby, I'm so glad you like my books.  Elias, I was happy to send you some of the magazines.  There were some neat things when we had the Bailey School Kids club.  I'd love to have it again!  Hope you enjoy Knights Don't Teach Piano (did you know that I play the piano and some of my ancestors were knights?). 
     Eliza, I'm so glad you liked Mermaid Tales #1.  Since Shelly is your favorite character I bet you will really like #4, The Lost Princess.  Have a great weekend, Debbie

Dear Shequauna, Your idea sounds fun.  I brainstormed and came up with:  Santa, Mrs. Claus, snow, toys, leather, needle and thread, sewing, short, pointy-toed shoes, and Christmas.  You might like to read Elves Don't Wear Hard  Hats for some more elf ideas.  Good luck!  Best, Debbie
