In case you're wondering, Eddie did find the saber tooth tiger in the book I just finished.  Today, I'm brainstorming ideas for a new book.  I think it will be a lot of fun-in fact, I think it will be SUPER!

Diana, I have two brothers too.  My daughter has two brothers too.  My niece has two brothers too!  My older brother is Frank and my younger brother is David.  I'm sorry that my webmaster doesn't allow addresses on the website (it's a kid's safety thing-don't ever give your address over the Internet because there are weird people in this world.  Everything that comes to me is checked my my webmaster.  Thanks webmaster!  But you and Derek can write me in care of Scholastic 557 Broadway New York, New York 10012.  (That way, I can send you an autograph too.) In fact, I was just in New York city yesterday.  I did a little shopping, met my editor and agent for lunch, and visited the Scholastic offices.  I live much closer to NYC now so I plan to visit more often.  I took the train in and I even rode the subway.

Brittany and Haleight Michelle, you can find out facts about me by clicking on this: http://debbiedadey.com/Swamp/BookReport.php

Hunter, I hope you liked Triplet Trouble and the Cookie Contest.  You are so smart to figure out the name of the city was Oakridge.  Marcia and I never really said, but you were a great detective!

Greetings to Mrs. Lichman's first grade.  To answer your questions, my birthday is May 18th and my favorite color is blue.  Even my office is painted blue right now.  I'm looking forward to visiting your school in October.  I hope you'll enter my postcard contest at http://www.debbiedadey.com/Bridgett/PostcardContest.php.  You'll get a free autographed book and you could win a set of books!

Jessica, yes I have been on a few book tours before.  The longest I was ever away from home for a book tour was three weeks.  It was too long to be away from my family.  Please tell your brother I said hello.  Hey Kendall, you sound like a fantastic reader!  Keep rocking and reading!  And lastly, hello to my sweet wonderful good-looking very talented great soccer playing daughter Becky.

Welcome to another September.  I hope your first days of school were totally awesome.  Actually my two younger kids don't start until tomorrow.  One is excited and one is ready for summer to go on and on.  LIke all good things, summer is coming to an end.  Let's make this a great new school year!

Catherine, I like Liza too.  I try to be more like her.  Sometimes I'm a bit of a stinkpot like Eddie.

Derek, I think it's cool that your teacher was one of my students.  Did she say if I was mean or nice as a librarian?  Bo, you keep rocking and reading!
Stay cool and don't forget to check out bb,
Debbie

This question looms over our heads:
Will the first day of school be a horror or a hurrah?

Kevin!!, I hope it's great for you and everyone who's reading this.  I only like horror when it's not real!  Leilani, do I know your grandmother?  If so, she's a great lady (Linda).

Stephanie, the Bailey City Monsters series is all done, but Marcia Jones and I are talking about starting a new series.  It's pretty exciting so I can't wait to see what happens.  Hurrah to Vanessa and Selena, you guys sound like fabulous readers.

Brenton from OZ, I don't know how to write a movie (that's why it's taking me so long).  I'm learning as I'm going.  Jordan from Mrs. Relyea's class, thanks for writing in.  I mailed some books to your class today.  Because I just moved, most of my books are still in boxes in my basement.  But I was able to find some to send your way.  You all could win lots of books for your class.  Brittany, I hope you'll try it too. If you'd like to win books, try out our Bridgett Butt Postcard Contest The more the merrier!  InfoHere Put your school on the MAP !

Take care, Debbie

AWWWWKK!!

Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.orgAs Eddie would say, "Holey Toledo!  Summer is almost over!"  Are you ready?  I know I'm not, but believe it or not my kids are looking forward to meeting new friends at their new schools.  It's a bit scary going to a new school, so I hope it goes well.  I've been busy brainstorming new BSK Jr. ideas.  I love funny titles so that's what I'm searching for.  Do you have a funny title idea for the new Junior series?

Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.orgHey Kevin, thanks for the fun ideas for Mrs. Jeepers.  I like the ballerina idea.  Hello to Brittany and congratulation to Walden for completing the summer reading program.
You rock!A++

Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org Now, back to summer.  Is there something you haven't done that you want to?  It's not too late!  Do it now.  I want to paint a picture, so I'd better get going.  I also want to finish my screenplay.  Let's get going!
Happy end of summer,  Debbie
